Wes is a superstar in Mexico!

Thanks to the IDSC for Life, our video made by Erin Witkowski, owner of Eve’s Wish Photography and fellow blogger Ski’ing Through Life has gone international!

Blogger Alicia Llanas is a 28 year old mom of two children with Down syndrome, and she is passionate about spreading the word of how amazing her children and others with Down syndrome are!

Please visit Alicia’s site, and check out the post she included about Wes! If you do not speak Spanish I have included the English (text only) version below. I used this site to translate, so hopefully it’s good enough to get the overall message across.

Thank you Alicia!

Every life is precious – part 2

I’m going to continue to do this series of posts of every life is precious, because I think it is really important to disseminate the message, and not only to fight for the rights of children/youth/adults with down syndrome who are here, but the people who might one day be here.

In Mexico the abortion is legal in the DF, but as I said before one who searches, finds, and unfortunately I have no doubt that have couples who decide to abort the hearing the diagnosis with down’s syndrome, no matter if it is illegal.

In IDSC we believe that every life is precious and valuable. We are a group of people who believe that we all have the right to life, even the lives of people with down’s syndrome.

Receiving a diagnosis of Down’s syndrome (pre-natal or post-natal) is scary! Afraid of what people will say, fear as you will see him, afraid of what will be our life, fear of how their lives will be. But if you give the opportunity to see beyond those slanted eyes, you will realize that if you let them you’ll be amazed!

As well as receive the postnatal diagnosis is not the end of the world, receiving a diagnosis pre-natal is not death sentence.

As parents of people with down’s syndrome, i think we have the important mission to make him see the world that our children are precious, that is why we are still inviting them to participate in the Spanish-language video of ‘All life is beautiful’

If you could go back to the day you received the diagnosis of your child with Down syndrome What you say?

Send a photo, either your , with your partner, family, or the child/young person with Down’s syndrome only ,holding a sign that tells you in few words and very clear about what you say. {Watch the video to see what our American friends said} We have received beautiful photos with beautiful messages. {TO the left one of the attempts to take a decent photo to Eva }

Send them to idsc.alicia@gmail.com and passes the voice! πŸ™‚ Let us put our granite sand to sensitize others that every life is precious and valuable

Today I would like to share this beautiful video, of a beautiful couple, who had their diagnosed pre-natal and are waiting for Wes, a child who will be born soon, and that has down syndrome. {You} may visit their page if you want to leave you a message πŸ™‚
